Review of Tea Pigs Peppermint Tea

I’ve been a little quiet on blogging front lately. I have trying a variety of teas as promised in earlier blog posts so I thought it was about time that I finally view my opinions on these. I have been away on my holidays which means only one thing, enjoying lots of nice cups of tea whilst out and about. One tea room that we frequently visited had a nice variety of tea all of which are from the Tea Pigs brand. I love the look of these, they come in in what I would describe as a little net bag in which you can see the whole tea leaves and a little label at the end with its brand name. I opted for the peppermint option as it is one of my favourite flavours of tea. The tea came in a large tea pot for one. On pouring the tea into the cup I was immediately hit by the fresh aroma of mint, which was nice and refreshing and not artificial. The tea itself was a pale green / brown colour.
On sipping the tea I got a nice refreshing mint flavour, in my personal opinion it was perfect, it was not to strong, weak or artificial. I left the tea bag in the teapot and the flavour remained consistent and refreshing to drink. I didn’t get the warm soothing effect in my stomach that I have had with other mint teas, but that didn’t bother me. The main thing that I enjoyed about this tea was it’s refreshing effect it had on me. I am definitely going to add these gems to my shopping list and recommend that anyone who enjoys a nice cup of milk free tea gives these a try.
