Well as plain crisps are my staple favourite in my lunchbox I thought I would give these a try. I checked the allergens on the ingredients list and none were listed. They were therefore Suitable for me to try. I got mine in a multipack. Each packet comes in foil style packaging. This is plain with a picture of crisps and nice shiny red to both the top and bottom of the packet. Each packet weighs 25g contains 139 calories, 8.8g of fat, 0.1g of sugar and 0.33g of sugar.

The fist thing that struck me on opening the packet was the greasy and salty residual just inside the packaging, a little off putting if I am honest. The crisps themselves were of a good size, with the only occasional small partial crisp noted. On picking the crisps up I was left with the same greasy and salty residual that was inside the packet.

On biting into the crisps a nice crisp crunch was noted. The actual crisps were pretty neutral in taste until I found the point where the salt was distributed. They left a greasy residual in my mouth. I am afraid that I didn’t enjoy these crisps. It was hit and miss if I got the salt flavouring and I personally found they greasiness slightly disappointing. I am aware that they are from Waitrose essentials range, but I felt that they were of a lesser quality compared to other crisps I have tried. I am sorry Waitrose but I won’t be buying these again. I personally wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who follows a dairy and or lactose free diet.
