Mr Lee’s Noodles Giveaway

As someone who follows a dairy free diet sometimes it can be difficult to find somewhere safe to eat especially when I am in a different country. I always carry emergency snacks with me but sometimes I need more than a snack. So when Mr Lee’s Noodles contacted me and asked if I would like to try their noodles and participate in a giveaway I of course said yes.

Mr Lee’s are the 100% tasty, 0% nasty gluten-free gourmet instant-noodle in a cup. By providing one of the healthiest noodles on the market, our diverse range of flavours is an extension of our commitment to improving diets. Their award-winning range of six authentic, oriental noodles are the market’s lowest in salt, sugar, saturated fats and calories, with no MSGs, artificial preservatives, flavourings or colourings. They uniquely use freeze-dried ingredients to ensure that our product locks in most of the nutrients. Vegan options are also available.

I was sent the vegan options which come in two flavours zen garden vegetables and dragon fire vegetables. I liked the simple design of the packaging with the bright colours to each flavour, the company’s logo to the middle with the flavour underneath this. To the back is the ingredients list any allergens are highlighted in bold. For both flavours soya is highlighted and there is no may contain warning. There are simple clear instruction on the packet how to prepare the product. You simply remove the lid and fill it with hot water as instructed to either have a firm or soupey consistency and wait. What you get is plump rice noodles which are eveningly coated in the relevant flavour amongst a very generous portion of vegetables. This results in a nice aroma, which is subtle but not to overpowering or artificial. I dived in and placed the rice noodle on my fork. It was certainly warm and looked moist but not sticky or gooey in texture. On biting into the noodles the texture was spot on medium moist, not to hard or gooey, just as I hoped. The vegetables were slightly crunchy yet moist. These pot snacks definitely hit the spot and filled me up. I enjoyed the ease and convenience of use of these noodles. For me personally these will work as an emergency snack as and when needed. They will definitely be in my rucksack on any of my future travels.

So thank you Mr Lees for kindly sending me the samples of the noodle pots to try. Most importantly of all for giving me a quick and safe food option that I can have on my travels. So would I recommend these snack pots? Definitely. So if you follow a dairy free, gluten free, and or a vegan diet and would like the chance to try these noodles why not enter this giveaway. These noodles look awesome! I love that there are sliced mushrooms in on of the flavours. And I think even for those of us who don’t have any specific dietary restrictions, rice noodles with no artificial preservatives and low sodium are a huge improvement over most pot noodles.
