I’m going on a little adventure across America

Just a short post to say that I am of on my holidays. I am a little excited to say the least as we are of on an adventure of a lifetime. We are travelling with a group of friends by train and plane across America. After researching the trip it looks like I may struggle a little when eating out. So I’ve visited the local supermarkets and ye old faithful Ocado and stocked with my emergency dairy free foods. You’ve guessed it the Bourbon biscuits are of course essential . I have to confess to also packing some teabags. They mainly serve coffee and very limited tea on the trains. This girl just has to have her cups of tea. Of course it’s not just food and tea I need to pack If you need some helpful tips on how to pack on your holidays Elle has some great tips for holiday packing I have scheduled some new food and tea reviews and links via Twitter whilst I am away. So fingers crossed this works. There is very limited wifi on my travels so please forgive me if I don’t respond to any comments. I promise I will on my return, Chloe.

Welcome to America! Have a great time and good plan on pakcing both for your dietary restrictions and on the tea! Even the little amounts of tea that are typically offered, are not comparable to some of the good blends found elsewhere (outside of a handful or rare occassions/places)!

Enjoy your trip! Enjoy the USA! I’m sure everything will look extra beautiful on the train. We do have quite a bit of tea over here but the quality isn’t great. Be warned of Bigalow green tea , it’s super vegetal

Have a great time! We’ve been in the US for 2 years now and absolutely love it. You will have more luck with free-from food in big cities so hopefully you can stock up a bit. Black tea is not good here but some green and herbal teas are really good.

    • September 2, 2016 / 10:08 pm

Hi, Izzie thank you. I can feel a trip to Whole Foods coming in the near future. I think I will stick to the herbal teas.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my post. I’ve yet to find a cereal bar that beats Nature Valley. I take them everywhere with me, Chloe.

I am making a trip to England in the spring – it is a bit nerve-wracking to travel to a different place when you have a dairy allergy and you are not familiar with products and labelling. I’m so glad to see your blog!

  16. October 27, 2016 / 3:00 pm

Hope your trip is going well!! And successfully dairy free 🙂
