Review of Eat Real Tomato and Garlic Quinoa Chips

Now I am a creature of habit most days I have Pom-Bear crisps with my sandwiches for lunch. Every now and again I fancy something different. Whilst in the free from aisle in Tesco’s I stumbled across Eat Real quinoa chips. I hadn’t tried these before and thought that I would give them a try.

I liked the simple brown packaging with the splashes of purple. The pictures of the chips with a scattering of tomatoes and garlic wanted me dive straight in. Being in the free from aisle they are gluten free and labelled as suitable for vegans and therefore suitable for dairy free me. No allergens were highlighted on the ingredients list.

On opening the packet I was greeted by a pleasant aroma of garlic with a hint of tomato noted. The chips themselves were of a good size and had a good scattering of flavouring on them. On picking the chips up they looked light and airy and left no residual on my fingers. On biting into the chips there was an initial crunch this was followed by a light slightly airy texture unlike eating a typical crisp. The garlic and tomato flavouring was spot on. It was clearly present and there was a clear distribution between both flavours. The garlic tantalised my taste buds and this was preceded by a subtle tomato. The two flavours worked perfectly together.

I was pleasantly surprised by these chips. I really enjoyed the light fluffy texture. The combination of the garlic and tomato was just the right amount. I found these crisps to be highly moorish and I soon polished of the whole packet. I will certainly be buying these crisps again. So thank you Eat well for producing a savoury snack that I can enjoy. So if you follow a dairy free, gluten free or vegan diet give these savoury snacks a try. I don’t think that you will be disappointed.
