Review of Nakd Christmas pud bar

Well as its only a month to go until the big day I thought I best start getting into the festive spirit. On a recent trip to Sainsbury’s I popped along to their well being aisle on a hunt for some sweet treats. I grabbed some chocolate and happened to notice the Nakd Christmas bar. I recently discovered this brand. They are both dairy and gluten free and suitable for vegans. I stocked up at the Allergy Show London and have been slowly working my way through a large selection of their bars and nibbles. Despite this I had to try this festive flavour.

On opening the packet I was immediately hit by the smell of Christmas. It was a very pleasant smell and not to strong or artificial. The bar was a dark brown colour like the other flavours and looked nice and moist. I couldn’t wait to dive in. I was sharing it with my work colleague as she had never come across this brand before. On biting into the bar it was nice and moist and slightly gooey. Now onto the taste it tasted like we were eating a real Christmas pudding. The only difference being that it wasn’t warm and that the texture differed. We both really enjoyed it and gave it a big thumbs up. Our only criticism was that it was very rich and we struggled to eat the bar between us. It makes a nice rich Christmas treat to enjoy over the festive season. So if you follow a dairy free, gluten free or vegan diet then why not give this festive treat a try.

maybe you could give it a try with a strong tea to wash down the richness. it might be more enjoyable that way.

I have to confess to having a tea at the same time it didn’t wash the richness away. Hey ho, I just get to spread it out for longer.
