Review of Twinings Lady Grey Tea

I first discovered this tea courtesy of my beautician Sally. To cut a long story short, I’m a girl who likes a little bit of pampering. Nothing extravagant you understand it’s mainly pedicures with the occasional massage thrown in for good luck. I have been going to see Sally for many years so she is aware of my food allergies and intolerances. A fundamental part of the pedicure process apart from having a wonderful foot massage is enjoying a nice cup of tea. For many years this would be a fruit or herbal, mainly peppermint being one of my favourites. At one of my appointments Sally told me that one of her other clients had introduced her to Twinings Lady Grey tea. Sally tends to drink most of her tea without milk and gave this one a try. She really enjoyed it and decided to add it to the list of hot drinks available in her salon. On my next appointment for my pedicure Sally suggested that I try in the new tea that she had recently discovered. As I listen to Sally and undertake most of her advice I thought I would give it a well. The first thing I noted was a nice subtle aroma of citrus with a hint of orange and bergammont noted. The colour of the tea looked very inviting. This could’ve been because I have served me numerous cups of tea over the years and that’s exactly how I like it. As the tea cooled I started to have a few sips, intrigued as to what the flavour would be. I was pleasantly surprised, it was just like the aroma coming from tea. The combinations of bergamot and citrus in particular the orange came through very clearly. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed this cup of tea. I enjoyed requested to have another cup of tea to enjoy my pampering.

I now have a big box of these teabags in my cupboard at home ready to enjoy as a treat. Oh and yes you’ve guessed it everytime I go for pampering I always now have my cup of Twinings Lady Grey tea.

  1. Next tim e you should pamper yourself with some turmeric tea (which isn’t ‘technically’ tea but still delicious), have you tried it? Check out our instagram @afterWOD, we just posted about turmeric tea today!
