Review of Lotus caramelised biscuit spread

On a quest to find more sweet treats I noticed that the Lotus caramelised biscuit spread ticked all the boxes. It markets itself as an alternative to chocolate spread or peanut butter. It is suitable for those who follow a dairy and lactose free and vegan diet. Each jar is 400g .A 100g portion contains 590 calories,39.2 g of fat and 36.2g of sugar.

On opening the jar you are greeted with a nice rich aroma of caramel. It smells identical to their biscuits. Inside the jar is what I would describe as a thick paste which looks exceedingly tempting. On delving into the jar the knife picks up the thick but smooth textured spread. On tasting the spread you can clearly taste the caramel which is very sweet, whilst being slightly rich and artificial in flavouring. But despite this it tastes just perfect. You only really need a small portion of this spread to get your sweet fix of the day. I personally find that it works well in conjunction with fresh fruit,on a plain bagel on my most favourite thing of all inside home made pancakes. I highly recommend that you give this spread a try.
